Nakamura AS-200L – How We Make Saga Parts

I am going to show you our Nakamura lathe and some of the parts that it makes for our Saga pens every single day. The Nakamura is a CNC lathe Pierre is going to be helping us explain this machine today. This excellent CNC machine costs a couple hundred thousand dollars and we have had it since 2016. It is the second Big Boy CNC machine that is finally fully paid off – it is all ours now and as much as I might complain about it on our business of Machining podcast a little bit – we actually really do love it. We run this machine every single day.

It has been one of our most reliable consistent machines for the past years, and it’s just solid. Here is an explanation what a CNC lathe is and what it does.
